From August 23-26, Tokyo will host ETHTokyo 2024—an event where Ethereum enthusiasts will collaborate on projects and discuss the future development of the blockchain.
Organized by the non-profit Ethereum Japan, this year's ETHTokyo includes both a conference and a hackathon.

Fifteen mentors will assist participants at the ETHTokyo 2024 hackathon, and twelve judges will evaluate their projects. Participation is free, and you can register for the hackathon here. Successful registrants will receive a special NFT, which will act as their entry pass.

- Özgür Armanc Yiğit, PSE (Privacy & Scaling Explorations) team;
- Francesco Andreoli, ETH Engineer and digital Entrepreneur;
- Yuroitaki, PSE, TLSNotary;
- Tomasz Stańczak, founder of Nethermind;
- and other experts.
The main tracks at ETHTokyo 2024:
- Freedom of transacting: A track for developers aiming to enable “anyone, anywhere, anytime can facilitate unrestricted transactions.”
- Robust democracy: Building platforms and tools that counteract the disproportionate influence of centralization.
- Infrastructure and tooling: Creating protocols, networking interactions, developer tools, and hardware.
