In his latest blog post, the ETH creator shares his personal experiences with using cryptocurrency as a payment method. He highlights some of the difficulties he has encountered in the past, such as:
- Wanting to pay for coffee, but finding that the bill amount was lower than the minimum allowable.
- Transactions failing due to weak mobile internet signals.
- Struggling with complicated and difficult user interfaces on smartphones.
- Confirmation of transactions taking hours, instead of seconds.
- Losing the key to a crypto wallet, and then having to go on a quest to recover it.
Buterin goes on to discuss his realizations, stating that interfaces should be simple, wallet recovery processes should be easy, and the internet should be reliable. He emphasizes the need for the Ethereum team to keep working and improving in these areas.
