Bitcoin advocate Javier Milei has secured victory in Argentina's
presidential elections. Milei, a vocal critic of Argentina's central
bank, blames its economic handling for the 140% annual inflation rate of
the Argentine peso over the past year.
Although
he hasn't explicitly declared plans to adopt BTC as legal tender, Milei
pledges to introduce a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC).
Notably,
his stance on China and Brazil diverges from his predecessor's. He has
previously expressed plans to put a hold on economic relations with
these nations.
