British crypto ATMs suspected of financing terrorism?
The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Digital Intelligence Unit carried out a joint raid in Yorkshire. During the raid, they seized crypto ATMs that allowed small investors to buy and convert funds into digital assets.
The FCA noted that the operators of crypto ATMs had to prove that the machines were not used to finance terrorism or to launder money. They will review the evidence and consider further potential actions.
