California Governor Gavin Newsom is emphasizing the importance of
keeping the citizens at the forefront in the area of generative
artificial intelligence (GenAI).
According
to his report, government entities in California are urged to train
their staff in the use of state-approved GenAI tools. Gavin is also
advocating for the initiation of educational programs focusing on AI in
higher education institutions and vocational schools.
The
report from Newsom's administration relies on forecasts from investment
firm Goldman Sachs, indicating that GenAI is expected to affect 300
million jobs worldwide.
