📣 Celesta Capital Sets Sights on U.S. for AI Investments
posted 12 Apr 2024
Celesta Capital, a venture firm managing over $1 billion in assets, has identified the United States as the best location for investments in artificial intelligence. This decision is largely influenced by the U.S.'s proactive policies to stimulate domestic chip manufacturing. Celesta has historically invested in AI, with a particular focus on healthcare and autonomous transportation sectors.
As investors in deep tech, we see tremendous opportunities, especially in the areas of AI and robotics, which seemed to suggest that the US opportunities are way ahead, said Celesta's founding managing partner, Shriram Viswanathan.
Viswanathan also highlighted the segmentation of capital across various global regions, noting Celesta Capital’s active investments in India as opposed to China, due to the current geopolitical tensions between the U.S. and China.
