Celsius customers get their money back after a long wait
After 263 days since the freeze, some Celsius customers have finally reported being able to withdraw their funds from the bankrupt crypto company.
According to Celsius, only those who held their funds in custodial accounts are entitled to withdraw 94% of their funds. Unfortunately, withdrawals for other accounts are still not possible at this time.
The platform initially announced the freeze on deposits back on June 13, 2022, citing "extreme market conditions," and subsequently filed for bankruptcy on July 13.
