CFTC enforcement policies targeting certain crypto companies may face a reassessment.

CFTC Commissioner Caroline Pham is reportedly open to reviewing enforcement measures introduced under the Biden administration. The update was shared by Eleanor Terrett of Fox Business, citing Fireblocks, a digital asset platform.
Pham is widely regarded as a top contender for the position of CFTC Chair.

In a discussion with Fireblocks’ Chief Legal Officer Jason Allegrante, Caroline Pham expressed hope that a leadership transition in Washington might bring innovative regulatory approaches.

Pham underlined that new leadership could set different priorities, introduce modernized rules, and consider pausing ongoing enforcement initiatives.

Such changes, if carried out, could lead to a more harmonized global framework for digital assets.

They would also create opportunities for market participants and reduce some of the tensions linked to regulatory uncertainty.
