Coinbase has reportedly informed select users of a subpoena it received from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
“We write to inform you that Coinbase has been served with a subpoena, seeking information related to your account and account transaction activity.” - the email says.
Speculation arises that the CFTC may be targeting Coinbase users who have interacted with Bybit, indicating a potential legal action against the Dubai-based exchange.
