Christie's Hosts Auction in Support of Psychedelic Research
"Cartography of the Soul" presents itself as both a tangible exhibition and an NFT online auction, offering viewers a journey through the labyrinth of the psyche. Adding a distinctive allure to the Christie's project is the portrayal of the artists' personal experiences with psychedelics in numerous works.
The "Cartography of the Soul" project is born out of a collaboration between the auction house and the digital collectors' society, 1of1. This impactful initiative amalgamates over thirty works by contemporary artists, some of which have been inspired by their personal encounters with psychedelic substances. The portfolio of artists whose works can be appreciated both virtually and in-person includes Sam Spratt, Dustin Yellin, Killer Acid, Dave Krugman, Klara Folkestad, among others.

The rollout of the "Cartography of the Soul" project coincided with the Psychedelic Science conference that took place in Denver, Colorado from June 19 to 23, 2023. This premier event in the domain of psychedelic medicine hosted an exhibition of artists' works from June 21 to 23. Selected pieces were also granted the chance to participate in Christie's auction in New York, conducted from June 23 to 27.

Alongside the physical events, the online auction "Cartography of the Soul" took place. From June 21 to 27, enthusiasts could acquire truly unique exhibits priced from 1 to 50 ETH. The organizers chose to allocate all revenue from the NFT sales to the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS). The aim is to fund initiatives and enlighten the public about psychedelic therapy, which has become a beacon of hope for many patients.
Following the "Cartography of the Mind"
"Cartography of the Soul" isn't Christie's and 1of1's first initiative to support MAPS. This project is a logical successor to last year's auction "Cartography of the Mind", which successfully raised over $1.5 million for research in psychedelic medicine.
