🌋 Criticism Mounts Against Polkadot

Victor Ji, co-founder of Manta Network, has described the Polkadot ecosystem as toxic, accusing the team of inefficiency and a lack of genuine decentralization. He asserted that Polkadot adds no real value to Web3.
Ji further highlighted alleged discrimination against Asian founders, citing the number of grants given to European/American projects versus Asian ones and the low representation of Asians at the Polkadot Academy event in Hong Kong this February.

A recent report for the first half of 2024 showed that Polkadot's treasury spent 11 million DOT ($87 million), with $37 million dedicated to attracting new users, developers, and companies to the ecosystem. However, some users remark that despite these expenditures, Polkadot remains largely invisible on X and other platforms.
