During a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, a 20-year-old local resident fired a shot at Donald Trump, injuring him in the ear. Reuters reported the incident.
Trump is currently in stable condition, while the shooter was killed. The attack also resulted in the death of a rally participant and injuries to two spectators.
Following the news, BTC saw a rise of approximately 3.5%. Meme coins created in Trump's honor also surged, with TRUMP, MAGA, and TREMP tokens increasing by over 30%.
According to the betting platform Polymarket, Trump's odds of winning the 2024 presidential election have jumped from 60% to 70%.
