DeFi Meet-Up hosted by DFINITY Foundation
On February 6, DFINITY Foundation will host a four-hour (from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.) DeFi conference in Zurich, Switzerland. The meeting will take place at Genferstrasse 11. Participation at the event is free of charge.
To attend the conference, you need to reserve a spot with your contact information. The purpose of the DeFi Meet-Up is to introduce people who believe in the decentralized future of the Internet to new projects that have emerged on the Internet Computer blockchain (ICP).
DeFi Meet-Up
What DeFi projects will be showcased at the conference?
Infinity Swap. A platform for swapping tokens in Ethereum and Internet Computer networks. It completes transactions more cheaply than its decentralized counterparties due to the Chain-Key technology and an automatic market maker developed by the company. The application also enables users to earn from liquidity, by staking ERC20 and IS20 tokens.
Rock Labs. A platform for building the multichain products and tools needed to expand the decentralized Internet.
Deland Labs. The company has two separate projects: an open order protocol with a built-in automatic market maker and a one-click NFT creation platform. Deland Labs has also developed its own standard for fungible tokens (DFT).
Finterest. An overcollateralized lending protocol. The user can lend tokens to the platform to earn passive income from borrower payments.
IC Lighthouse. DeFi app development environment and decentralized finance ecosystem on the ICP. The project involves representatives of investment banks and developers of the Ethereum blockchain ecosystem.
Astro X. A multichain cryptocurrency wallet that protects assets without a seed-phrase on any device. It uses biometric authentication to secure users' assets and identity.
ICPLeague. A community of developers and entrepreneurs who create and fund public Web3 services on the Internet Computer blockchain.
Helix Market. A company committed to bringing true ownership and full transparency to the DeFi ecosystem.
At the end of the conference, the attendees will be able to network with the founders of the startups, developers, and discuss the prospects of Web3 and decentralized finance.
What is DFINITY Foundation and Internet Computer?
The DFINITY Foundation is a Swiss non-profit organization with a large team of scientists, engineers, developers, and cryptographers behind it. The organization was founded by Dominic Williams in 2015.
DFINITY's product is the cloud-based Internet Computer blockchain (ICP), which aims to create a distributed World Wide Web. The founders of the project also call it the global computer.
Any kind of decentralized applications, social networks, games, streaming services, DEX, and corporate structures can be created on the Internet Computer platform. They will all be part of an open-source blockchain. But most importantly, such Web3 infrastructure does not need any centralized cloud services.
