  Consulting firm Deloitte is seeking cryptocurrency experts holding Secret and Top Secret clearances issued by the U.S. Department of State. These specialists will be involved in probing financial crimes linked to cryptocurrencies and other digital assets.

  Deloitte has posted two distinct job listings on LinkedIn: Cryptocurrency Investigator and Senior Cyber Crypto Analyst. Interestingly, applicants for both positions must possess a valid security clearance level. 

  Obtaining Secret and Top Secret classifications demands an individual to be deemed reliable and trustworthy, subject to an extensive vetting process by governmental bodies. This involves routine scrutiny of numerous personal details, from fingerprinting to travel history, with periodic renewal of the clearance.
 
  Moreover, Deloitte's ideal candidates shall possess proficiency in open-source intelligence (OSINT), have a track record of conducting financial and forensic investigations, and be adept in using analytical tools like Chainalysis, Elliptic, CipherTrace, TRM Labs, and Elementus.

  
  While Deloitte has previously recruited specialists within the crypto domain, the firm has traditionally focused on hiring tax specialists and asset managers, rather than investigators equipped with the high-level clearances typical of special agents.
