Analysts from JPMorgan Chase, a major U.S. banking conglomerate, predict
that Ethereum could potentially surpass Bitcoin by 2024. They attribute
this potential shift to the anticipated EIP-4844 update, which is
poised to significantly boost Ethereum's network efficiency and reduce
transaction fees.
According to JPMorgan, the cryptocurrency market has already factored in
current trends, such as potential Bitcoin ETF approval and the
approaching Bitcoin halving.
Additionally,
the analysts point out that the DeFi sector hasn't lived up to its
expected potential, primarily due to challenges in melding with
conventional financial systems. They also note the relatively slow pace
of advancement in the field of tokenization.
