It’s freaky – and yet it’s enticing. Meet the red-inspired NFT collection.
What does the red color mean to you? Is it the color of blood? A sexual color? Or maybe it has something to do with Adam and Eve’s apples?
While you’re mulling it over, an Italian-born artist RedruM, who uses AI to elevate his art to a new level, translates his associations into art pieces.
Such as the one below that shows a bunch of sanguine-red apples. They look very edible – but maybe your appetite will be slightly curbed once you find out what follows this picture as you scroll down RedruM’s X (Twitter).

It is what you see below, and it is, arguably, not something you’d want to look at before you’re off to sleep.
The picture, which is up for minting, shows a man sitting in what appears to be a pond of blood. We wouldn’t call him exactly amicable – but it also doesn’t seem as if he expects us to.

It also doesn’t appear as if we’re the only ones feeling slightly unnerved by it. Other users on X (Twitter) also dubbed it as “unsettling” and such that “freaks them out.”
However, this is not the only piece that you might choose not to see if you’re scared by the Sun that doesn’t look like it’s from the Teletubbies.
This Chucky-inspired kid doesn’t look as if he wants to make friends either. And you sure don’t want to see him knocking on your door on October 31st.

Similarly, this red Dementor-like creature sends shivers down one’s spine. Imagine what you’d feel like seeing this when opening window blinds on a low cost flight – as if it’s not scary enough to fly with them already.

Maybe something on the lighter side?
We hear you and, luckily, RedruM has something to offer in this respect, too. Like this man dressed in a red-white-and-black outfit. He’s hovering in the sky, pondering life while sitting on a pochette. What is it that he’s exactly thinking about? That’s totally up to you – but judging by the overall sentiment it doesn’t look like he’s that overjoyed by life.

Maybe the picture of a red gnome next to a red house isn’t exactly very light. But in comparison to other works by RedMun, it still probably qualifies to be just that. With that being said, we can’t help but appreciate the red vs. green juxtaposition.
What is the meaning behind this?
If only we knew!
