A high-profile user of Friend.Tech, known as @Vombatus_eth, has sold 176 keys worth $1.5 million, to switch to New Bitcoin City, a Bitcoin-based social app.
Friend.Tech, which allows users to trade in 'keys' (shares) tied to X accounts, had a rapid growth spurt after its August launch, amassing over 100,000 users and millions in revenue within three weeks.
However, the platform's growth has slowed, and New Bitcoin City is emerging as a strong contender. The latter platform, initially a gaming and arcade app, has expanded into the social application market.
It recently broke through $4 million in locked value, partly due to users like Vombatus migrating their followers.
