Markus Thielen, founder of 10x Research, believes that Gary Gensler, the current Chair of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), will step down in January or February 2025, assuming a win by Donald Trump. Gensler's term is set to end in June 2026.

It has come to light that Joe Biden has withdrawn from the 2024 presidential race, supporting Democrat Kamala Harris instead.

Analyst Adam Cochran reports that two of Harris's top vice presidential candidates hold favorable views on cryptocurrency. Cochran highlights that Kamala Harris currently lacks an official stance on crypto and is working to distance herself from the party's left wing.
Thus, it appears that Gary Gensler is facing challenging prospects for his future at the SEC, regardless of the election results.
