Graham's Presents NFT-Backed Vintage Port Wines
The legendary Graham's brand, with over two centuries of history, joins many peers in the liquor industry by stepping into the realm of Web3. They're introducing a new set of elite port wines paired with NFTs, offering unique benefits to the owners.
Graham's Port was established in 1820 by brothers John and William Graham. The port wines they crafted swiftly earned a reputation of distinction. The team's mutual trust and common goals have been preserved over centuries.

In 1882, the company welcomed aboard a Scotsman, Andrew James Symington. Over time, he and his family proved to be steadfast partners of the founders of Graham's Port. In fact, in 1970, Symington's grandchildren purchased the company. They continue to foster its growth today, maintaining an exceptional reputation and providing unique offerings for port wine connoisseurs.
For instance, this year marked the company's first venture into launching its own NFTs, paired with a limited collection of vintage port wines. A total of 50 sets, certain to captivate lovers of unique wines, include the Graham's Vintage Port 1970 and the Graham's Bicentenary Edition 2020. Both were bottled in celebration of the brand's 200th anniversary. The selection of these particular vintages is symbolic; they represent the 50 years of stewardship by the Symington family.

Each collection of vintage wines comes paired with an NFT, giving assurance to the buyer of the drink's authenticity and offering supplementary perks. To unlock these digital assets and their associated benefits, you would need to scan the NFC tag and visit the Club dVIN platform.
You can only buy the 44 sets of these vintage wines at Graham's Lodge, situated in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal. The NFT that accompanies them bestows upon the wine owners several opportunities:
- The privilege to receive port wine from the forthcoming release of Graham's Vintage Port.
- The ability to enjoy six different tours and tastings at Graham's Lodge, which can be shared with friends and family.
Additionally, three of these 44 sets provide an exceptional experience: a private, day-long visit for up to four individuals to Quinta dos Malvedos, the brand's primary estate typically not open to the general public. This immersive event, taking place in the very heart of the brand, incorporates a tour of the vineyards and winery, a wine tasting session, and a meal. These unique sets are available for purchase at €3000.
Graham's is offering five cases of select wines on the refined WineChain NFT platform. The final, 50th set, will be placed for bidding at the online Golden Vines 2023 auction, which aids the Gerard Basset Foundation, an institution established to provide education and address pertinent issues within the wine, liquor, and hospitality sectors. This event is scheduled for October 13th-15th and will be held in Paris.
Graham's isn't alone in the alcohol industry in harnessing innovation to amplify its products and develop a culture of liquor consumption. The MetaBrewSociety brewery, Guy Fieri and Sammy Hagar's Santo Spirit tequila, have also transitioned to the Web3 platform. Remarkably, the Bored Grapes initiative allows for the creation of your very own NFT-wine, which eventually transforms into a tangible beverage at the end of the manufacturing process.
