📣 Indonesian Miners Charged with Electricity Theft

In Indonesia, miners were found illicitly connecting their Bitcoin mining rigs directly to the power grid poles, effectively stealing electricity. Law enforcement revealed this information after conducting multiple raids across various sites.
In these operations, authorities seized a total of 1,314 mining machines and arrested 26 individuals on suspicion of engaging in this electricity theft for around six months. The state's estimated financial loss from this activity is approximately $100,000.
Indonesian law stipulates up to a 5-year prison term or a fine of double the incurred damages for such offenses.
