"JOYsmilies are a celebration beyond compare! Get ready to enter a world filled with glee. Where JOY is always just a smile away," as the collection's creator describes it.

John utilized a virtual reality headset to create JOYsmilies, as well as his other works. The digital artist is continually expanding his toolkit for creativity, exploring cutting-edge technologies, including blockchain.

How does JOY, the VR artist, bring their creations to life?

The distance between the virtual and real world is diminishing due to the advanced technological package:

  • Intel NUC 11 computer;
  • Oculus Quest Pro VR headset;
  • Adobe Medium software;
  • Camlink video capture device for recording VR videos;
  • GoPro with a first-person view.

Using the aforementioned tools, John can craft stunning three-dimensional works of art right in thin air and share them with others. As the artist sets to work, collectors of JOY objects are invited to a live stream to watch the creation process of new psychedelic creatures unfold before their eyes.

John Orion Young is a contemporary artist who belongs to the league of digital art innovators. His fascination with virtual reality began in 2016, and he released his first NFT and 3D sculpture on the blockchain in 2018.

In his younger years, John drew inspiration from the works of the legendary artist Salvador Dali. The surrealist masterpieces unveiled his own potential. Eventually, man went on to become a co-founder of the prestigious FU Collective art gallery, situated in the heart of Denver.

After devoting many years to creating thousands of physical paintings, John grew weary of the canvases that filled his space. Consequently, he found a new path for the creation and dissemination of his works - virtual reality and blockchain.
