NFTs are not just pretty pictures. Among the non-fungible tokens, you can even find music bands! KINGSHIP is one such project, featuring the legendary Yuga Labs monkeys as its artists.
The music project's NFT collection was launched in May 2022. 10:22PM Universal Music Group is the label behind it. While boasting a truly striking line-up, the NFT band is often regarded as Gorillaz's successor within the community. Among its members are three rare Bored Apes and a rare Mutant Ape.

The group members have their distinct responsibilities. Arnell produces the project and oversees the bass and drums. Captain is in charge of vocals and bass. KING handles vocals, and Hud is responsible for vocals, guitar, and keyboards. In addition, there is a small pink flamingo, Kurt, who is the roadie, who is seldom noticed, but always follows the KINGSHIP.

Who are the individuals behind the charismatic facade? It's none other than the KINGSHIP team, a group of real-life music creators, musicians, and producers. The development of this musical NFT project even involved Grammy award-winning artists and collector J1mmy.eth.

So how's it going for musicians in the NFT realm?

The KINGSHIP collection contains 5,000 NFTs, known as Key Cards. They provide access to a virtual music universe and grant their holders various privileges.
These Key Cards not only provide entry to the world of KINGSHIP, they are also an entirely new way to introduce artists and music. They are also a way to serve our superfans with exclusive content, products and token-gated experiences.
— explains Celine Joshua, the organization's founder.
All KINGSHIP-related events are held on an island. There are several Towers for each character, who wields unique traits and abilities. Those Towers may be accessed via key-card. Yet these are just the beginnings. The most interesting part awaits the owners of all four members' Key Cards. These owners will be transported to a floating villa above the Towers, embarking on a memorable musical journey.

At the time, Manager Noët All was doing volunteer work, helping Apes escape from the great gas war. She bridged the former King of Solana, now known as KING, to the Ethereum blockchain, using an artist visa. The plan was for KING to pretend that he was a member of the band, but it turned out he had serious talent

The KINGSHIP project is evolving step by step to offer users more than pretty pictures and music. The developers pay special attention to storytelling, crafting plots and storylines for each character.

KINGSHIP is also eager to launch bright collaborations. In 2022, the NFT band released branded candy with M&M's. This manufacturer was chosen for a reason. According to legend, M&M's are a mandatory item on the KINGSHIP rider and the favorite sweets of some rock and roll stars.

In the midst of February, the NFT band began collaborating with Spotify. Now, music enthusiasts can groove to NFT tracks on their playlists while streaming on the platform. And if you're looking to rock out in style, the band offers official merchandise. But that's not all! Fans can also look forward to exciting upcoming musical escapades in the world of Web3.

At the time of writing, KINGSHIP's market cap is 1,849 ETH, while the price of Key Cards starts at 0.1 ETH.
