The Sealana ICO launched on May 1, and its founders have already raised $332,000 (as of the time of writing). It appears the market has warmly received the first-ever seal-themed meme.
The mascot of the coin, Sealana, reminiscent of Gamer Guy from "South Park," might just become the next sensation on the Solana blockchain. His distinctive features—glasses, stubble, food stains on his clothes and near his monitor, and eyes glued to the screen—are likely relatable to many crypto enthusiasts.

Currently, ICO participants receive 6,900 SEAL tokens for 1 SOL. To join the sale, participants need to connect a wallet (either Phantom or Solflare) to the Sealana platform or directly send SOL to a designated address provided by the developers. The presale will run until the end of May.

Information about the team behind the SEAL meme coin remains elusive. Similarly, it is unclear if the protocol has undergone an independent audit, a common oversight in the meme coin space.

Potential for a Rug Pull? Certainly, there's always a risk. Many meme projects start primarily for their ICOs, and creating a blockchain contract and managing social media profiles on platforms like Telegram and X is not overly complex. However, this seal character is charismatic and has a good chance of making a memorable impact. In the world of memes, the audience is key.

Dogeverse

DOGEVERSE is a multichain token project that operates across Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Solana, Avalanche, and Base blockchains. Currently in its presale phase, similar to SEAL, DOGEVERSE has already raised over $13 million in its ICO. The project's early success is due to several factors:

  1. The founders have made their identities and legal addresses public.
  2. It has passed an independent audit conducted by Coinsult.
  3. The website features a transparent roadmap and a detailed plan for token distribution after the official launch.
  4. Investors can reserve the meme coin using ETH, BNB, MATIC, AVAX, SOL, or USDT.
  5. The platform supports a broad array of wallets.
  6. Staking opportunities for DOGEVERSE are already available on Ethereum.

You can purchase coins directly from the project's official website via a purchasing widget. However, to pay with SOL, you must navigate to a specific subdomain.

At the time of writing, DOGEVERSE is priced at $0.00029. The creators assert that the coin's value is expected to rise progressively through various phases, such as after being integrated into the CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap apps, as well as following listings on DEXs and CEXs.

Dogeverse aims to dethrone Dogecoin by using unique bridges that connect six blockchains. Theoretically, this setup is intended to minimize gas prices and commission fees, potentially attracting a larger community.

The presale is scheduled to run until May 25.

WienerAI

On April 20, another presale commenced. This time, it's a dog-themed AI meme coin – WAI. The creators pitch their asset as “part dog, part sausage, part trading bot, WienerAI a groundbreaking AI token and Trading Bot that merges the worlds of artificial intelligence, canine loyalty, and crypto trading–into a singular global movement”.

According to its founders, the project's goal is to create “a kinder, gentler, more hilarious future where a goofy-looking wiener dog-robot catalyzes the entire meme coin space into one singular force–The Sausage Army.”

This meme coin operates on the Ethereum blockchain and serves as the proprietary token of a trading bot. Currently, it can be acquired with ETH, BNB, MATIC, or USDT. However, the project’s whitepaper remains silent on whether WAI will undertake any specific tasks or if its holders will get any particular benefits. Consequently, the meme coin seems primarily geared toward attracting and entertaining the crypto community.

The ICO is progressing successfully, with the team having already raised $1.5 million. This success is attributed to significant staking rewards (676% annually). According to the platform, all tokens sold during the presale are locked, with the total future rewards amounting to $854,200.
The presale could have seen even more participation had the developers outlined the features and advantages of the trading bot they plan to launch. However, the promise is merely that WienerAI will represent the pinnacle of trading technologies employing artificial intelligence, which lacks substantive detail.

Which of the discussed projects could succeed? Any of them. However, when discussing a meme project, it's crucial to remember that it's essentially just a playful jest. Like spending money at an amusement park, you're there for the thrill. If there’s a profit, that’s a bonus, enhancing your enjoyment. With memes, there's always space for laughter, connection, and sometimes even cult classic items or characters.

The crucial thing is to avoid turning the entertainment industry into a gambling scene. And sometimes, it's good to heed Vitalik Buterin's advice, who advocated for investing in real solutions rather than memes
