Microsoft is experimenting with a new AI feature called "Intelligent Media Search," enabling users to search for audio and video files by their content. The AI model transcribes the content into text, which can then be indexed and searched.

To activate Intelligent Media Search, users need to install a local AI model on their computer. This feature is similar to the much-talked-about Recall function, which captures full-screen screenshots at set intervals to enhance file and user activity search.
By clicking 'I agree,' you consent to scanning the media files on your device

In light of previous negative feedback and potential privacy issues, this feature requires explicit user consent and is not mandatory. Currently, it is only available to members of the Windows Insider program, with no clear timeline for its release in public builds.
