Neuralink, a neurotechnology company, is gearing up to implant a chip in a second patient within the next few weeks. This plan comes despite recent connectivity problems with the brain device in the first patient, which required immediate engineering intervention.
CEO Elon Musk mentioned that a new version of the chip is expected to be released soon. The company's future goals include enabling people to control robots, not just prosthetics but also models like the Tesla Optimus. Musk also highlighted the potential of the chips for treating conditions like epilepsy and paralysis.

Despite these optimistic projections, suggesting Neuralink’s product might enter the mass market by the end of the year, experts urge caution. They note that even with successful trials, obtaining regulatory approval will take several years.
