The popular NFT collection Pudgy Penguins has introduced its official coin. The cryptocurrency, named PENGU, is set to launch in December 2024.
According to an X post by the project, PENGU will have a total supply of 88,888,888,888 and will launch on the Solana blockchain. This number is intentional, reflecting the Pudgy Penguins NFT collection's 8,888 cartoon penguin NFTs.
88 billion PENGU tokens will be distributed to NFT owners across different collections. PENGU’s tokenomics are as follows:

Pudgy Penguins invited NFT holders to vote on allocation criteria and token claim dates, adding that active users will receive bonuses upon launch.
