🚀 OKX Catches South Korean Regulator's Attention
posted 7 Feb 2024
The South Korean regulator might launch an investigation into the cryptocurrency exchange OKX for unauthorized advertising of one of its programs. Local laws mandate that every crypto company must undergo registration to smoothly engage with South Korean clients.
The potential investigation was triggered by a complaint lodged with the regulator by an alliance of local crypto exchanges (Upbit, Bithumb, Korbit, among others). They allege that OKX engaged in promoting its Jumpstart program through Telegram channels by buying advertisements from various Korean bloggers and influencers.
