Pink Flower or Black Volcano? AI Pictures Orgasms
AI is everywhere, including your bedroom.
It’s time to ask important questions: What would my orgasm look like, according to AI?
Lovehoney and Womanizer had five women and five men find out. In their recent experiment, they asked the participants to masturbate using their sex toys: a Womanizer Pleasure Air toy and Arcwave male masturbator.
While they were busy doing so, the experimenters placed Electrocardiogram (ECG) strip sensors on their bodies to collect cardiac, respiratory and muscular data.
Enter the experts. Software engineer Vika Shcherbak and developer Nusha (Noam Rubin) who were allotted the task to bring these orgasms into life. And they used JavaScript for that.
As a result, the AI, which was fed the resulting image, gave 10 unique images of orgasms. Even though Lovehoney acknowledged the attempt to reduce human bias and gender stereotypes, the AI still associated female orgasms with “traditionally” feminine and masculine colors like pink and black respectively.
“Current interpretations of the orgasm are completely gender-normative and outdated; people who identify as women are assigned orgasms that are like flowers, or in the shape of a traditional female outline or vulva, while men are given strong, stormy-esque orgasms,” the company said.
So, here’s what they look like.
The first one is the female orgasm that looks slightly like a flower, with shades of pink, yellow, and purple.
