Robinhood Chain Fee Surge Sends ARB Up 90%
Fees on Robinhood Chain hit $4.45 million on Sept. 2, driving Arbitrum’s ARB token about 90% above its June low to roughly $0.132 after a 50% weekly gain.
Robinhood Chain activity pushed Arbitrum’s ARB token about 90% higher from its June record low after the chain recorded $4.45 million in fees on Sept. 2. The token traded near $0.1316 following a 50% weekly gain.
Robinhood Chain launched on Arbitrum in July. Between Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 the chain collected more than $10 million in fees, an increase of about 109% across sessions. Uniswap routes the majority of trading volume on the Robinhood Chain network.
Under the Arbitrum Expansion Program, Orbit chains remit 8% of revenue to ArbitrumDAO and 2% to a developer guild. Applying the 8% share to Sept. 2’s fee total implies roughly $320,000 flowed to the DAO that day.
Arbitrum’s mainnet, Arbitrum One, processed about 1.94 million transactions over a 24-hour period but collected only 5.8 ether in fees, worth roughly $14,000 at recent prices. On Sept. 2 Robinhood Chain generated about 320 times more fee revenue than Arbitrum One. At the Sept. 2 pace, Robinhood Chain would match Arbitrum One’s daily fee income in under five minutes.
Network metrics showed average transaction costs near $0.007 and block times around 0.242 seconds, with no pending transactions reported. Total value locked on Arbitrum stood near $1.37 billion, about two-thirds below its October 2025 peak above $4 billion.
Arbitrum’s Foundation reported $6.19 million in total income for the first half of 2026 with 97% gross margins. At the Sept. 2 fee rate, Robinhood Chain would generate an equivalent amount in roughly 19 days.
On technicals, ARB pulled back from a recent high near $0.145 and traded around $0.1316. Immediate resistance is near $0.140–$0.145, with a next level around $0.150. Near-term support sits around $0.125–$0.127, close to the 20-period exponential moving average; a deeper support zone is near $0.110–$0.114, near the 50-period EMA and a prior breakout area. Shorter moving averages remained above longer ones and the relative strength index was about 62.
Two events are scheduled in September that market participants will watch: roughly 92.6 million ARB unlock on Sept. 16, and the planned end of Robinhood’s 90-day gas subsidy later in the month.
