OpenAI has made the ChatGPT app for macOS available to all users, but the spotlight remains on the much-awaited advanced Voice Mode introduced with GPT-4o.
This feature can interpret emotions and non-verbal signals, making AI interactions feel more like natural, live conversations.
Initially set to launch for selected ChatGPT Plus users by the end of June, the feature now needs an additional month of development. OpenAI anticipates that all Plus users will have access by the fall.
The developers aim to build infrastructure capable of handling millions of users, ensuring real-time responses from the AI while upholding high security and reliability standards.
OpenAI also mentioned ongoing efforts to add new video and screenshot sharing capabilities.
