SHIB: Rediscovering the Forgotten Metaverse
Shiba Inu announced its metaverse back on March 30, 2022. Significant changes have transpired since then, but recently the team released a teaser with an approximate launch date and a description of new tools.
SHIB: The Metaverse is a virtual expanse from the creators of Shiba Inu. The primary objective is to provide users with a vibrant digital world for exploration and earning. The metaverse will make extensive use of the entire ecosystem, particularly the SHIB, LEASH, and BONE tokens.
A total of 100,595 land parcels will be released, which will gradually open following the launch. Some of them will remain locked indefinitely, as the team plans to make them key points for journeying through all regions.
Regrettably, due to a technical error, it is currently impossible to view the map of parcels, but public sale is still available, with prices starting from 0.2 ETH. As promised by the developers, landowners will receive personal space with complete freedom of action, various rewards, and the possibility of passive income.
New announcements
In April 2023, the team announced plans to launch the metaverse by the end of 2023. Users will be able to navigate through accessible regions, design and construct various objects. Following this, the developers will publish plans for opening the remaining areas, while concurrently developing and refining the initial version.

Through the Unreal Engine, the task of creating an open world has been simplified, and now the team is striving to concentrate on the visual picture and functionality for users. For instance, a couple of essential tools for interacting with the metaverse were published:
1. Land Developer: this will assist players in altering their territories. It encompasses several functions: object relocation, terrain editing, interactivity, monetization, and publication for access by other users.
2. Avatar Builder: players can choose ready-made templates or create a unique digital image with maximum personalization (hairstyles, clothing, facial features, etc).
Additionally, the developers emphasize the importance of community interaction for obtaining quick feedback regarding any changes. Therefore, the team invites everyone to follow their social networks, blog, and if possible, leave comments.
