Age isn't a barrier to creativity and hobbies, even at 92. William Shatner demonstrates that joy can be found in the uncharted territories of Web3, even as one nears a hundred.
Yes, this is the very same William Shatner, the original captain of the "Star Trek" series. As the character, he achieved such fame that many didn't even know his real name. For many years, to his dedicated fans, he has been Captain James T. Kirk. Interestingly, the star captain's name graces a crater on Charon, Pluto's moon, further highlighting the immense popularity of both James T. Kirk and William Shatner.

You'd agree, when these "two" declare the start of NFT sales, the collection's success is virtually a done deal. However, let's not forget that aside from his illustrious career as a starship captain, T. Kirk (pardon me, William Shatner) is a seasoned crypto enthusiast.

My newest mission begins right now! The endless desire for discovery has taken me on this new expedition that I can't wait for you all to see!
exclaims the captain.
The NFT collection Infinite Connections, presented by William Shatner, explores themes drawn from his life and career, with a particular focus on space and scientific discovery.

The Infinite Connections range consists of two distinctive series: Cosmic Explorer and Timeless Voyager.

Cosmic Explorer contains 2,500 NFTs that encapsulate various scientific phenomena, from quantum physics to sound vibrations. Each NFT in this collection bears William Shatner's imprint, a 3D avatar of the "Star Trek" captain, and a physical figurine of James T. Kirk, the character he famously brought to life. Shatner has personally autographed each item and added a distinctive quote from the beloved series. Initially, the NFTs in this collection were offered at a starting price of $499.

However, for those who find this price point steep, there's an affordable alternative. For just $99, you can own an NFT from the second part of the collection, Timeless Voyager. This segment includes 1,000 one-of-a-kind 2D illustrations of futuristic technologies and space scenes. Additionally, some randomly selected new NFT owners will receive exclusive benefits, ranging from a physical figurine signed by Shatner himself to a virtual meetup with the "Star Trek" captain via Zoom.

The Californian company Orange Comet will mint the new collection. Its CEO, Dave Broome, was struck by Shatner's vigorous spirit at the age of 92, particularly his enthusiasm for learning about and applying innovative technologies.

Broome explained his strategy, saying, “What we're interested in doing is taking someone like iconic, legendary William Shatner and all of the millions and millions of fans that he has, and bring them over into Web3.”
