FOMO is a well-known condition among cryptocurrency investors. The overwhelming fear of missing out on potential profits can become a significant issue in the Web3 ecosystem.
FOMO (fear of missing out) can lead to intrusive thoughts, anxiety, and an unhealthy fixation on specific issues, which can have a negative impact on both an individual's mental well-being and their relationships with others.

JOMO (joy of missing out) is a powerful antidote that allows traders and individuals to embrace the present moment and not worry about missing out on anything. The charitable NFT collection, The JOMO Effect, aims to promote this positive phenomenon.

The team behind The JOMO Effect project includes well-known platforms such as the Peace Inside Live platform, the TIME Pieces NFT community, Deepak Chopra's Web3 project Seva.Love, NFT marketplace Magic Eden, the Adam Bomb Squad project, and Polygon Labs. They have brought together 40 talented digital artists, both established and emerging, who will express genuine joy in their artworks.

The minting of The JOMO Effect NFTs is set to take place on May 10th, which is not a random choice. May is recognized as Mental Health Awareness Month, and the organizers believe it's the perfect time to raise awareness among Web3 users about mental health and combat the stigma associated with it.
The collaboration with the JOMO Effect is part of our ongoing focus on nurturing community and well-being in the Web3 space and working towards a more sustainable, peaceful, healthier and joyful world
said Deepak Chopra, a respected American physician and author known for his writings on spirituality and alternative medicine.

The JOMO Effect brings not just philanthropy, but also valuable advantages

Each NFT in The JOMO Effect happiness collection will be priced at around 30-40 MATIC (~34-46 USD). By supporting this important social cause, collectors of digital art will receive extra perks from the organizers.

For example, Seva.Love platform will grant access to an exclusive Soul of Leadership program and host an online meditation session with renowned figure Deepak Chopra and other members of the Chopra Foundation team. Peace Inside Live will provide NFT owners with a library of audio meditations and mindfulness video lessons, along with a 15% discount on the JOMO journal. There will also be gifts such as tickets to themed events, premium subscriptions to services, discounts on domains, merchandise, and more.

All the proceeds from the initial sales, except for a 3% commission to the Pledge.to fundraising platform, will be donated to five charitable organizations:

  • AAKOMA Project, a non-profit research organization specializing in adolescent mental health and youth of color;
  • Half The Story, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting digital well-being for the next generation;
  • The MINDS Foundation, a non-profit organization advocating for mental health;
  • LOVELOUD Foundation, a foundation founded by Imagine Dragons lead singer Dan Reynolds, supporting LGBTQ+ youth and their families;
  • AFSP, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

The proceeds from the secondary sales of The JOMO Effect collection will be divided among different parties: 33% to the artists, 33% to Peace Inside Live, and 33% to the five charitable organizations mentioned above.

The JOMO Effect project also includes the creation of the largest Telegram channel focused on mental well-being and the publication of the JOMO magazine. Additionally, motivational offline seminars called "FOMO TO JOMO" will be conducted for businesses and participants of themed conferences.
