Telegram bot Banana Gun’s native token BANANA plunged more than 99% in just three hours after its launch.
This sharp decline led some members of the crypto community to raise suspicions of a “rug pull”. However, the official X account attributed the collapse to a bug in the token’s smart contract, which the team was unable to hotfix.
Despite having undergone two audits, the team acknowledged that this bug managed to slip through the cracks.
Notably, pseudonymous coder MisterChoc claimed to have identified the flaw within seconds using OpenAI’s ChatGPT, adding an intriguing dimension to the incident.
