The popular metaverse project The Sandbox has announced its acquisition of several meme coins, including PEPE, SHIB, DOGE, and BONK. This move is aimed at bolstering the Web3 ecosystem and fostering a culture of creativity, essential elements in any metaverse.
The Sandbox team believes that investing in meme coins will help support local communities, broaden the project's appeal to new users, and enhance the utility of the tokens. PEPE, in particular, was highlighted for its vibrant activity among users and traders.

Previously, investment company DWF Labs also declared its investment in meme coins, allocating $5 million in USDT to the developers of the popular token LADYS. Additionally, the founder of the blockchain platform Fantom has announced the creation of a special framework for developing secure meme coins.
