NFT marketplace LALA has unveiled a digital collection themed around the renowned movie "The Wolf of Wall Street," pledging a passive income stream for all NFT holders.
LALA's official partnership with the film's creators enables the community to counteract illicit exploitation of the authors' intellectual property. This is achieved by dealing with reports via a dedicated legal team. Through this initiative, the project aims to take an active role in the film industry and generate funds, which will be redistributed among NFT holders every six months.
As LALA’s CEO and founder, I am thrilled to kick off our journey with this influential modern classic that is one of the biggest independent films of all time,© Hiram Vazquez, CEO and founder of LALA.
Public sales are slated to start on June 20, following private purchases by holders of a free NFT (only a transaction fee is charged), from a self-taught artist named Matt. This token is a standalone digital collectible that, if desired, can be printed out at the LALA merchandise store.
The collection comprises three NFT versions of varying rarity (general release, limited edition, and director's cut). They differ in aspects such as pricing, edition size, artistic presentation, revenue percentage, and several physical perks (exclusive merchandise, discounts, private events). In addition, the creators promise to incorporate owners into the LALA reward system, providing them with preferential access to future sales. However, most rewards will be accrued gradually over time, rather than becoming instantly available.

NFT marketplace LALA has partnered up with renowned Peruvian artist Paolo Torres for their latest venture. Known for his signature style of pop-surrealist collages, Torres brings a unique artistic vision to the project, which centers on the early life of the film's protagonist, Jordan Belfort.
This collection is for the first part of the movie, before Jordan was The Wolf of Wall Street, but I was inspired by the whole movie and how chaotic and funny it was. The three artworks represent the transition from not knowing all the craziness inside the trading business to creating his own company,Torres explains.
The LALA NFT project stands out amidst a sea of digital collections, offering an innovative, interactive way to connect with beloved movies. Fans or responsible parties have the potential to earn through the defense of copyrights, while enjoying a host of additional perks. Yet, if the developers set the bar too high with the initial price, or if the concept doesn't quite take off, the collection risks being classified as just another form of entertainment.
