Ephemera: Time on the Blockchain

Created by Erin Redwing, host of the "Hell Money" Bitcoin podcast, the Ephemera project introduces a novel take on art and time. Redwing has reimagined blockchain as decentralized clocks, converting memorable moments into tokenized assets.

Each NFT created by Redwing represents the exact time a block was mined on the Bitcoin blockchain. Additionally, each token captures the positions of the Moon and the Sun at the moment the block is verified, making these NFTs a captivating gift for astrology enthusiasts.

Ephemera is an archaeological project that allows participants to bid on specific dates to inscribe planetary ephemeris data on sats from the exact time they were mined, creating a tether between astronomical time and decentralized Bitcoin block time.
Redwing describes the project's concept
Every two weeks, the project's official website releases 16 new tokens for auction. Winners receive an NFT stamped with their chosen date.

Bidding starts at 10,000 sats.

Beyond its innovative concept, the project is particularly noteworthy due to the limited number of NFTs created, enhancing their potential as collectible items. As is well known, collectibles often gain value over time.

Airhead: Wealth Isn't a Sin

Arthur Hayes, the iconic co-founder of BitMEX, is the creative and social force behind the project.
Imagine the daily STRUGGLE of being RICH AF and constantly judged Just like how fat-shaming hurts, rich-shaming is REAL and HURTS us deeply. It's not our fault we're genetically inclined to ACCRUE digital wealth We're VICTIMS. No more RICH-SHAMING!
With a notable sense of irony, he articulates the core idea of the project
To alleviate the burdens of affluence and to easily identify those who suffer equally, Hayes suggests purchasing stylish PFP NFTs released in a limited edition. According to him, “the only effective remedy is obtaining an Airhead, which aligns financial identity with true economic status, alleviating psychological and emotional distress.

Airhead consists of a limited series of 10,000 3D NFTs, featuring a distinctive cartoon style.

PFP avatars are selling rapidly: the concept of branding oneself as suffering from super-wealth with special NFTs from Arthur Hayes has clearly struck a chord with the market.

OctoGlyphs: Octopuses That Chronicle Bitcoin’s History

Octo Glyphs is a collection of pixel octopuses engraved on Bitcoin’s historical block 9, associated with the transfer of 10 BTC from Satoshi Nakamoto to Hal Finney

The series includes 10,000 NFTs. Each OctoGlyph identifier starts with the numbers 88888 and can extend up to 88888888.Casey Rodarmor, the project's founder and the creator of the Runes protocol, has utilized his unique NFT minting technology under the BRC-20 standard. This method ensures that each token is linked to a single UTXO capable of storing substantial information.

Octopuses symbolize "runic inscriptions" (akin to a nesting doll principle). In the future, owners of OctoGlyphs will be able to mint 88,888 tokens for each octopus. Thus, acquiring an NFT not only offers immediate value but also the potential for significant future earnings through additional tokens.

Naturally, this depends on the OctoGlyph octopuses achieving enough popularity.
