Bitcoin’s rally has generated substantial gains for companies that invested early in this digital asset.

According to data from Bitcoin Treasuries, MicroStrategy, helmed by Michael Saylor, leads the pack with an impressive floating profit of nearly $16.5 billion. The company holds 331,200 BTC, valued at over $32 billion, with an average purchase price of $49,874. This achievement has almost doubled their initial investment in cryptocurrency.

In second place is Tesla, with a profit of $607 million. Tesla owns 9,720 BTC worth approximately $945 million, purchased at an average price of $34,722. The company’s BTC profit growth ratio stands at an impressive 2.8x.

Coinbase rounds out the top three, holding 9,480 BTC, valued at $920 million, with an average purchase price of $12,342. Coinbase achieved a remarkable profit growth ratio of 7.88x, demonstrating its strategic acumen in cryptocurrency investment.

A surprising contender is the German company Bitcoin Group SE. Despite holding a relatively modest 3,589 BTC, the firm boasts an astonishing profit growth ratio of 29.6x, attributed to an exceptionally low average purchase price of just $3,285.

Meanwhile, Japan’s Metaplanet has emerged as a rising star. The company increased its BTC reserves from 861 to 1,142 coins within a month, leading to a 220% jump in its stock price. This growth highlights how cryptocurrency investments can significantly boost a company’s market valuation, echoing the success of MicroStrategy.

The overarching takeaway is a strong endorsement of the HODL strategy. Companies that embraced Bitcoin early have seen exponential returns, underscoring the transformative potential of cryptocurrencies as long-term investments.
