Hong Kong-based ZA Bank has introduced retail cryptocurrency trading directly through its app via HashKey Pro, a platform developed by the local exchange HashKey. This specialized service simplifies crypto trading for both organizations and individual investors.

The service includes features such as API trading, account management, and customizable permission settings. ZA Bank representatives announced that this integration makes them the first Asian bank to offer cryptocurrency trading services to retail investors.
As a bank, we prioritise security and compliance, which is why we’ve partnered with HashKey, a global-leading licensed virtual asset exchange, to meet regulatory standards and deliver bank-grade security in virtual assets trading,
said Calvin Ng, Alternate Chief Executive of ZA Bank.
HashKey Exchange CEO Livio Weng emphasized that his company is committed to strengthening its partnership with ZA Bank to advance Web3 technologies and broaden investment opportunities for users. It is also worth noting that HashKey is one of only three officially licensed cryptocurrency exchanges in Hong Kong.

Currently, the trading platform supports only BTC and ETH. The launch of this new feature comes amid a surge in demand for cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin's dramatic rally to nearly $100,000. This spike is attributed to Donald Trump's victory in the U.S. presidential election and the Republican Party's domination of the Senate and Congress, both of which have promised favorable conditions for the growth of digital assets.
