Affected by the Azuki “Elementals” NFT incident (similar artworks, errors in the artwork, and collector dissatisfaction), the NFT market fell sharply again in the past 24 hours.
BAYC fell 16%, MAYC fell 20%, and Azuki fell 11%.
Earlier this year, Azuki NFTs gained significant popularity, surpassing even BAYC NFTs.
Meanwhile, AzukiDAO has proposed to recover 20,000 ETH from Azuki founder ‘Zagabond’.
The proposal suggests hiring a lawyer to take legal action against Zagabond for their alleged involvement in multiple “rug” projects. The aim of the clawback is to retrieve $39 million worth of ETH that was earned from the controversial launch of “Elementals” NFT collection.
As of now, the action has received support from 88.3% of AzukiDAO (BEAN) token holders, with 11.65% opposing it. The voting period for the proposal will conclude at 6:38 am UTC on July 3rd. 
Yuga Labs is in the groove, with NFT passes sold for $9 million
The NFT Sewer Pass collection generated more than 6,000 ETH in 12 hours.
Despite a slight delay, the Dookey Dash game passes have been released for minting. The Sewer Passes were broken up into four tiers, if in addition to the BAYC or MAYC NFTs, users also hold the Bored Ape Kennel Club NFT.
The price of the Sewer Passes on OpenSea ranges from 1.49 ETH to 420 ETH. Those wishing to join the sewer key quest have already minted 14,361 passes. In October 2022, a user purchased NFT BAYC #8585 for 777 ETH but recently sold it for 153 ETH, experiencing a loss of over 80% of the original value. This NFT is considered very unique due to the rare fur and gold crown features. The new owner, on the other hand, boasts of his new acquisition, though he already has a wide variety of NFTs in fifteen different collections. Ethereum NFT Royalties: Are Artists Getting Their Due?
NFT royalties on Ethereum hit an eye-popping 699,816 ETH, roughly translating to $1.8 billion. However, data analytics firm Nansen's deep-dive analysis points to an unsettling trend.
Despite sustained NFT volumes in 2023, royalties for this year only constitute 9.4% of the total payout, a stark contrast to 2022, which accounted for over 64% of the total ETH paid. The culprit behind this disparity is the downward trend in effective royalty rates, which fell from 2.5% in 2022 to a scant 0.6% by July 2023.
Some NFT projects such as Yuga Labs, behind popular initiatives like Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) and Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC), are among the few benefiting, receiving 9.4% of all royalties.
