5 Thrilling NFT Debuts in Modern Art

Patrick Hughes, a British artist, has been carving out his unique reverspective genre for over three decades now. 'Reverspective' is a three-dimensional optical illusion in which objects, physically situated closer, appear to be distant.

His latest animated NFT, "Rubik's Cube," pays tribute to cubism and the concept of reversibility. It rotates about its axis, vividly illustrating the mechanics of the illusion to its viewers. The collection includes 330 editions. While a private sale concluded on June 24, the artworks can be acquired at public auctions on the ElmonX platform. The starting price for the NFT is £60.00.

The generative NFT collection "Invisibles," created by artist IsmaHelio, takes its inspiration from Italo Calvino's novel "Invisible Cities" and Hong Kong's architectural aesthetic. Scott Balmer's poster, "Visions," stands as the most striking and unique addition to the collection. Beyond the NFT, the purchaser also received a physical print of the artwork.

The Rocky Horror Show, a 1975 film directed by Jim Sharman, is the cinematic rendition of a British musical sharing the same name. This comedic parody of the era's horror and science fiction films stars a mad scientist-cross-dressing lead character. 

The "TimeWarp" collection, unveiled by Online Blockchain plc, celebrates the 50th anniversary of this iconic film. It includes 50 NFTs, each embracing the distinctive style of the film. The collection debuted on June 19th on the OpenSea platform, with a starting price of 0.1 ETH. NFT holders will be gifted an additional set of nine non-fungible tokens, each representing a character from The Rocky Horror Show.

In honor of the 50th anniversary of the iconic album, "The Dark Side of the Moon" by Pink Floyd, a unique NFT collection named "Moonshot" has been curated. It comprises 9,999 artworks, each priced at 0.25 ETH, the brainchild of both artist Ori Bengal and saxophonist Scott Page. These innovative audio-visual NFTs are set to transport their owners on an imaginative journey through space, aboard a SpaceX rocket.

The full details of the "Moonshot" collection are shrouded in mystery. Even a glimpse of the individual pieces is tantalizingly out of reach. Prospective owners must register their interest on the HQNFTs platform, providing their contact details and crypto wallet address. Following the application phase, which kicked off on June 8th, a selective process will be initiated to distribute the NFTs. True devotees of the seminal rock band's repertoire will be the only ones fortunate enough to secure one.
