B3 Gaming Platform by Base Developers: Activity Guide
B3 has raised $21 million in funding and aims to build a cutting-edge gaming ecosystem. This article provides an overview of available activities and step-by-step instructions for participation.
Project Overview
B3 aims to build a next-generation gaming ecosystem that combines traditional game mechanics with blockchain capabilities. While many GameFi platforms focus on showcasing their technology, B3 promises a model where users don’t just play but also earn, encouraging deeper engagement.
The question remains: can B3 truly deliver on this promise and offer players something beyond the typical “game + blockchain” approach?
The primary platform will be built on Coinbase’s Layer 2 Base, ensuring high transaction speed and low fees.
One of B3’s core goals is to create a horizontally scalable ecosystem—a platform that grows through added resources and supports an expanding array of games and applications that interact seamlessly. This will open opportunities for new gamers and developers to innovate within a shared platform.
B3’s vision extends beyond gameplay; it places a strong emphasis on community involvement in the ecosystem’s growth. The team plans to collaborate with over 20 gaming studios to broaden the game selection and enhance content quality.
It’s worth noting, however, that participation in the testnet does not guarantee rewards. The project’s creators caution that users should understand the risks and not expect automatic compensation for their testnet activities.

Investment and Support
The B3 project has drawn considerable interest from investors, raising $21 million in its initial funding round. Leading the investment is Pantera Capital, a venture fund known for its focus on blockchain projects.
In addition to Pantera, B3 received support from other prominent funds, including Mirana Ventures and Hashed Fund.
This level of backing indicates high expectations not only for the project itself but also for the broader GameFi sector, which combines gaming and blockchain to allow users to play and earn through in-game actions.

Each completed task earns you XP (experience points for participating in the project’s testing). Your referral link is located on the right, allowing you to invite others and earn additional XP.
One task involves converting 0.1 ETH into B3. Using the official bridge—a protocol developed by the blockchain platform’s team for asset transfers across chains. Deposits are almost immediate, though withdrawals may take up to a week. Some users choose to transfer tokens via the Relay bridge as an alternative, but remember that projects often require the use of the official bridge to qualify for airdrops.
No matter which bridge you use, connect your MetaMask wallet, switch to the Base network, and complete the transaction by clicking “Deposit.”

For the game quests, you don’t need to actually play; simply click “Collect and Play” to complete them.
Aim for about 160–180 XP by completing all tasks, inviting 10 people, and logging into the game daily for at least 10 consecutive days.

Good luck, and above all, enjoy the experience. Remember, playing solely for profit isn’t the true goal of Play-to-Earn. The best projects are those you’d play even without rewards. With this approach, rewards feel more satisfying, and the risk of disappointment is minimal.
