Metaverse Pride is set to occur from June 27 to 29 in Decentraland, backed by Polygonal Mind and Vegas City studios. The vibrant event, happening once again in the metaverse, celebrates diversity and inclusivity in the Web3 realm.
Metaverse Pride is a unique digital experience featuring art installations, games, music performances, and educational content from the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies.

This three-day affair will be held at a virtual festival venue, designed like an oasis. As planned by the organizers, participants in the parade will create a trail of rainbow footprints, with the features of the main stage dynamically changing based on the number of people joining the festivities.

Decentraland offers various opportunities for individuals to join the community and contribute to Metaverse Pride. For instance, anyone interested can organize their own satellite events as part of this magnificent occasion. The possibilities for innovative guests are endless: it could be a musical performance, a themed panel discussion, a fashion show, or simply a fun-filled party.

Decentraland also invites users to display unique ships at the parade, created in collaboration with the Vegas City studio, and to participate in the Pride Wearables competition.

Vegas City studio offers support to the LGBTQIA+ community and champions diversity in the metaverse by providing unique ships. Users can craft their own models, with dimensions up to 8m in width, 16m in length, and 14m in height.

It's worth noting that this service isn't free. The fee for featuring a unique vessel is $1000. However, the Vegas City platform reserves the right to create models for Decentraland community creators and non-profit organizations connected to Metaverse Pride at no cost.

Pride Wearables competition

In the run-up to the event, Decentraland is also hosting a wearables competition. The organizers anticipate that it will stoke the audience's excitement and cultivate a festive atmosphere.

From June 1 to 19, users can fabricate the most unusual devices that represent the values of the Metaverse Pride community and deviate from traditional stereotyped clothing. All that's required is to showcase a fantastic outfit on Decentraland's Marketplace and complete the official form to enter the Pride Wearables competition.

Judges will evaluate costumes based on parameters such as inclusivity/diversity, wow-factor, and uniqueness. The victor of the competition will receive 800 MANA, and their outfit will be featured in the Metaverse Pride demo zone. Participants who secure second to fifth places will each receive 600 MANA, along with the chance to share their costumes on Decentraland's Twitter.
