Every year, the bond between the gaming industry and Web3 grows stronger, and a prime example of this is DMarket - a platform for trading in-game items.
DMarket is a collaborative project spearheaded by virtual items marketplace owner Vlad Panchenko, international banking and gaming industry specialist Tamara Slanova, and NAVI esports team founder Alexander Kokhanovskyy.

The alpha version of the marketplace was launched back in 2017 on Ethereum, followed by a beta version in 2018 with expanded features and language support. Just a year later, the platform underwent a major revamp with even more features, including the ability to exchange items, pre-order games, and even trade items not listed for sale. DMarket (DMT), the platform's native token, has a total supply of just over 56 million. As of writing, it's currently trading at $0.008, according to Coinmarketcap.

DMarket is a top-rated blockchain marketplace that offers gamers a vast range of CS:GO/Dota2/TF2 skins at unbeatable prices. With a million active listings, finding what you need is a breeze thanks to the platform's numerous filters, including price, rarity, appearance, and quality. By engaging in Face2Face trading on DMarket, players become the rightful owners of all virtual items they purchase, which remain active until they are sold, without interfering with the seller's gear.

DMarket has earned a reputation as a trusted and secure platform with a community of over 100,000 gamers. The technology behind it, a distributed ledger, plays a key role in ensuring complete transparency in transactions.

The limitless gaming metaverse

It wouldn't do justice to DMarket to just consider it as a marketplace for trading weapons and armor. The platform has a bigger mission - to unite gamers, game developers, streamers, esports athletes, and their fans in a boundless gaming metaverse. This will enable the community to work together more effectively towards the industry's growth. Of course, each group of community members will have its own specific benefits:

  • gamers can safely participate in Face2Face trades, including pre-sales, exchange items, and earn profits from trading using their mobile devices or computers;
  • developers will receive powerful tools to create their own in-game economy and analyze the market;
  • streamers and influencers will be able to attract new audiences through exciting contests, NFT drops during Twitch streams, and crafting physical items based on virtual ones.

The creators of DMarket are confident that this approach will help make the gaming world more interesting and profitable for all parties involved. It's worth noting that 2023 has started off very promisingly for the platform. In late January, the gaming company Mythical Games from the USA acquired the project. As a result of the deal, they announced the launch of the Mythical Marketplace 2.0, which is expected to be maximally adapted for gamers
