Euler Finance hackers refuse to cooperate with the protocol
Following the $197 million hack of the Euler Finance DeFi platform, the hackers were offered a deal to return the funds in exchange for $20 million and immunity from prosecution.
However, the hackers decided to play a brief stint as modern-day Robin Hoods. They returned only 100 ETH to one user who had pleaded with them to return his “life savings.”
Currently, the stolen funds from Euler Finance are being laundered through mixers, indicating that the hackers have rejected the $20 million offer.
