Space ID is a blockchain-based project that focuses on managing domain names for wallets.
Space ID aims to create a universal domain name service that stands out from similar projects by offering a platform that caters to all domain-related functions. Unlike other projects that solely focus on domain names within the Ethereum network, Space ID's service includes a simple concept that unifies all available domain name features.

With Space ID, users can perform all the necessary domain name functions such as:

1. Search

2. Registration and renewal

Once you've found the perfect domain, you can register it immediately. Upon registration, the domain will appear in your personal account, and you'll receive an NFT that confirms your ownership of the domain.

Additionally, in your personal account, you can easily renew the registration period for any of your domains.

3. Buying/selling on the secondary market

You can buy and sell domains directly on the Space ID platform. The service pulls up-to-date offers from various NFT marketplaces, including OpenSea.

To view current offers, simply click on the "Domain" tab and select the network. This will take you to a page displaying all active listings, where you can browse the latest sales in the right-hand column.

4. Management

In your personal account, you'll find all your domain names along with their expiration dates. This is where you can designate your domain as the primary one for your wallet. To do this, simply click on the "pencil" icon in the "Primary Names" section.

ID token airdrop

On March 22nd, the project gave away their $ID tokens to early users who met certain requirements by March 10th, 2023.

To qualify, users had to meet several criteria, including:

  1. The number of registered domains
  2. The domain expiration date
  3. The length of time the domain had been in use
  4. The number of characters in the domain name
  5. Participation in advertising activities that could earn OATs.

The number of tokens given out depended on how well the user met these criteria. These were the primary factors that determined eligibility during the first season.

Currently, the second season - Voyage 2 - is underway. The objective is to collect cases of varying qualities, from which a random number of points will be awarded. These points will be converted to $ID tokens in the future.

To receive a case, users must register a domain for one year using this link. Inviting friends to participate is encouraged, as both the user and their friend receive a case when they sign up via the invitation link.

Final words

The Space ID project is developing a user-friendly service for managing domain names. With this service, you can easily search, register, purchase, sell, or renew your domain names. A notable advantage is that the service supports three types of domain names: *.eth, *.arb, and *.bnb, making it more versatile and flexible for users.
