Heavyweight champions Usyk and Blockasset released NFTs in support of Ukraine
Oleksandr Usyk is not the first athlete of the world scale who shows interest in digital assets and creates his NFT collections. But it should be noted that this boxer collection is not meant to enrich him but has only good intentions.
Oleksandr Usyk and the NFT platform Blockasset released a collection of unique cryptographic tokens on the eve of an important fight, for which the athlete was allowed to leave the ranks of the defenders and be out of the country. The Irish artist Dosbrak took part in creating this collection and depicted iconic moments in the boxer’s career. Each illustration will be hand-drawn by the artist. He has previously collaborated with other champions such as Mike Tyson and Conor McGregor.
So far, only half of the 2,000 illustrations on the Solana blockchain remain. The tokens, each starting at $200, can be purchased on the Blockaseet platform, which the athlete himself considers a “heavyweight champion”. To do this, it is not necessary to own cryptocurrency. A credit or debit card is enough. Some lucky NFT holders will get additional bonuses: gloves signed by the champion or tickets to the fight.

The main purpose of the collaboration is to raise about $2,000,000 and donate it to the Usyk Foundation, which is dedicated to helping victims of Russian military aggression.
The fight between Alexander Usyk and Briton Anthony Joshua will take place on August 20 in Saudi Arabia, at King Abdullah Sports City arena. The boxer also plans to donate the proceeds from the fight to help the victims.
