🌋 Match Systems Targets Phishing App Angel Drainer

Blockchain security company Match Systems has identified several developers behind the phishing app Angel Drainer, which promptly ceased operations. Preliminary assessments indicate that at least 35,000 users lost around $25 million due to Angel Drainer's activities.
The Match Systems team has not yet disclosed the results of their ongoing investigation. The company is urging all users who have been affected by this scam or have information about individuals involved with or supporting Angel Drainer to aid in the investigation.

In the spring of 2024, two similar apps, Pink Drainer and Violet Drainer, were shut down. The former ended its operations after successfully stealing $85 million, while the latter cited difficulties in extracting cryptocurrencies due to enhanced security measures by various wallets.
