Notable Crypto Projects Born in Ukraine (Part 2)

In this article, we'll explore other noteworthy players from the crypto realm who proudly share Ukrainian heritage.

zkSync is an L2 network engineered to scale Ethereum's capabilities. Employing a cutting-edge solution known as zkRollups, this approach bundles multiple transactions into one, without compromising security or privacy.

As of the article's publication, zkSync stands out as a leader among L2 blockchains developed with this technology, boasting the highest Total Value Locked (TVL) and a wide array of protocols in its ecosystem.

One of the co-founders of Matter Labs, the company behind zkSync, is Alex Gluchowski, a Ukrainian expert in blockchain and cryptography and an alumnus of the Taras Shevchenko National University in Kyiv. A substantial number of the team members are also Ukrainian.

Founded in Ukraine in 2017, Hacken is a global cybersecurity firm specializing in smart contract audits and offering a comprehensive security infrastructure for the blockchain and crypto industries.

With an impressive roster of partnerships (over 180), completed audits (around 1,200), and a broad client base (more than 1,000), Hacken has also established collaborations with major players in the crypto world, such as CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap.

Dmitry Budorin, a Ukrainian entrepreneur with extensive experience in finance and cybersecurity, is the driving force behind Hacken. His vision and leadership have been instrumental in establishing Hacken as a trusted name in the field of crypto security.

Everstake is a prominent staking provider, allowing investors to capitalize on their crypto holdings across a myriad of blockchain initiatives. In essence, the company handles the setup and service of nodes for a vast clientele, currently boasting over 625,000 users.

Sergii Vasylchuk, a seasoned IT professional from Ukraine, is the driving force behind Everstake, serving as its founder and CEO. He delved into the crypto realm in 2015 and was among the early adopters to integrate Bitcoin payments on his own website.

Allbridge serves as a pivotal bridge, facilitating the seamless transfer of crypto assets across diverse blockchains. It currently supports 22 networks. The platform has overseen more than 600,000 transactions, cumulatively exceeding $6 billion.

Kyiv-born Andriy Velykyy is the visionary CEO and co-founder of Allbridge. His academic journey spans from the Taras Shevchenko National University in Kyiv to the prestigious UK's Warwick Business School.

Having immersed himself in the IT sector since 2003, Andriy explored the crypto world by 2015. His crypto pursuits have been diverse, from constructing mining farms and trading to consulting on blockchain solutions and investing in ICOs. Allbridge came into existence under his leadership in 2021.
