Tapio Testnet: A Comprehensive Guide
Tapio is a DeFi protocol facilitating the interaction of DeFi apps with diverse liquidity types.
The project focuses on liquidity that has undergone Liquidity Stress Testing (LST). This process evaluates liquidity's ability to withstand attacks, malfunctions, and unforeseen situations. Possessing LST-verified liquidity drastically reduces the probability of compromises, including cross-chain bridge and DEX exchange attacks.
Tapio has already launched its testnet which will run till July 26 and culminate in the distribution of future project tokens, NFTs, and roles on Discord. This guide will help you navigate the Tapio Finance testnet.
Claiming Test Tokens
The public testnet for Tapio Finance is live on Ethereum's Goerli network. To start your interaction with this network, follow these steps:
- Add the Goerli network to your Metamask. The Chainlist service could help with this;
- Acquire test ETH coins via the Goerli Faucet. If this faucet doesn't work as expected, we've prepared a separate article listing faucets that provide test tokens.
Swapping Tokens
First, you need to connect your Metamask wallet to the Tapio platform. Next, conduct a series of test transactions, swapping ETH for stETH and rETH. Be sure to repeat these transactions every day.

Minting tapETH
tapETH operates similarly to an LP token, representing a liquidity pool in a DEX. To get tapETH, you should contribute any two assets to the liquidity pool. However, Tapio boasts hybrid pools, meaning you only need to deposit a certain quantity of one token that is available in your wallet.
If everything is done correctly, you should receive a confirmation notification, and a certain amount of tapETH will be added to your balance.

Claiming Rewards and Redemption
The current reward rate for farming tapETH varies from 5% to 15%. After a period of farming, an option to claim your reward will become available in the "Reward" section. Following the claim, you can withdraw your tapETH using the "Redeem" button.

Zealy Quests
With the completion of the technological aspect of the Tapio platform test, several quests are now available on Zealy, including:
- Familiarization with the project's social networks;
- Exploration of the project's documentation;
- Tweeting and retweeting.
Upon completion of all these tasks, users can mint an NFT from Tapio Finance.
